Isunga Office is the main headquarter office, where the entire management of Kibale Conservation Area sits. It’s the base station for the entire park management. Kibale Conservation areas comprise of 5 conservation areas and park. These includes, Kibale National Park, Semuliki National Park, Sebitoli Game Reserve and Tooro – Semuliki Wildlife Reserve.
Most of the park planning and management is handled from here. All the other warden who manage other conservation areas often reports here, for fund allocation and other related park meetings.
Isunga offices, is 26 Km away from Fort Portal town, an can be accessed with a tarmac road that leads to Kamwengye town, just next to Panga Market, just after the bridge as you head to Fort Portal town, from Kampala route.
Isunga is 10 Km from Kanyanyu Visitor’s Center, where the entire tourism activities are located. Besides Isunga being where the park offices are located, a number of hotels and lodgings are as well found next to this area.
