Your 3 days safari begins from Kigali urban settings in to the village setting of tropical rainforest is a habitat to variety of primate species, a visit to Kibale National Park will give a great memory of the primate capital, as the park is known as the “home of primates”. Kibale boost of 13 primate species and some of the primate includes the baboons, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, guenons, grey cheeked mangabeys and the chimpanzee which are the most sitting primate in this great forest along number of bird species that you can encounter during your tracking. Uganda gorilla trekking safari takes you to Bwindi Gorilla forest well known for Gorilla trekking in Uganda. From this forest you will track Gorillas while from the other trails you can go for bird watching, nature walk characterized by a number of birds including Blue Turaco, Black casques hornbills, Black and White Hornbills, Woodland Kingfishers, Flycatchers. This will be a unique life time experience that you would ever experience.
Day 1: Transfer Kigali to Kibale. Travel time +5hours
You will picked up by our driver guide upon landing in Kigali airport (morning flight advised) , and be driven to Kibale through Ntungamo – Fort Portal route with a stopover at Kitagata hot springs along the way. You will then have a stopover en route lunch along the way, where you will later proceed to your booked accommodation for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Primate Lodge, Meal Plan: Lunch & dinner
Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Bwindi
Today, after having your early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu visitor’s center for briefing and later you will proceed to the jungle in search for the gentle giants. You will be given only an hour to stay close to the chimpanzee as you take number of photography and watch their social life later you head back for lunch at the lodge, and after lunch, drive to Bwindi with a beautiful en route view of Queen Elizabeth national park, if your lucky sight some wildlife along the way as you drive. Stops over at Equator for photography, as you proceed and check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Bakiga Lodge, Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner
Day 3: Gorilla trekking & transfer to Kigali. Travel time +4 hours.
Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda wildlife officials and thereafter enter the jungle to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their life style in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Uganda you will have informative memorable experience in life. In the afternoon you will have lunch and transfer back to Kigali and be dropped at the airport to catch up with your evening night flight. If time permits, visit the Kigali genocide memorial ground.
